Global Broadcasting

Global Broadcasting, also known as Global advertising, is a decentralized advertisement-biding system.

What we called Global Broadcasting is choosing the highest bidding for advertisement and spreading the ad across each node on COD chain, which allows us to create a precise business link and perfect $COD’s role as hard currency.

Global Broadcasting will undoubtedly become a world-class superpower in the advertisement field with the huge userbase brought by whole network promotion.

Principles of Design & Rules

Both common and multi-signature addresses can propose a bid for global broadcasting. And it is required for each biding address to retain 10,000 $COD in the wallet.

Amount of Advertising Space

Global advertising space will be created as every 2,0000 blocks (almost 20 hour) construct on the COD network. Meanwhile, there are 24 advertising spaces for users to choose freely. Users could bid for them, additionally, users who bid for advertising space should keep 10,000 $COD in their wallets.

Bid Rules:

  • Participants could process multiple bids. The same address could not bid again if the last bid does not end. Each advertisement charges the original fee of 10,000 $COD, therefore, the wallet balance should hold more than 10,000 $COD.

  • Each time participants bid, the highest bid price of the current network-wide advertising space bidding shall be taken as the base, and the price increase range must be more than or equal to 10% of the latest bid and must be an integer. For example, if the price is 20000.12 $COD after increasing, the system will determine as 20001 $COD.

  • Each advertising space can only accept one bid for the same address within 100 blocks.

  • Finally, the smart contracts will automatedly select the highest bidding for global broadcasting. If two or more bidders propose the same bidding price, the earlier they propose, the final they will win. That is to say, the earlier one wins the bid if they propose the same price.

Fees and Payment rules:

I. While starting the bid, users should transfer enough $COD (your bid price) to the advertising address. It will automatedly lock up your $COD. If you bid for the 24th broadcasting, the lock-up time will be 28800 blocks.

II. Once the bid ends, advertisements of the successful bid will be showcased within 100 blocks. The smart contract will deduct the bidding fee from $COD in the propaganda address and pay it to the chain sales system. Then $COD of other bidders returns to the original account.

Time and Rules:

I. Upon the interface show 25 advertising spaces, including 24 common ones and 1 bid kind space. The common one could at most showcase 28800 blocks (almost 1 day);

II. Since the published advertising space is No. 0 advertising, 24 advertising spaces from No. 1 to No. 24 shall be taken forward for display. If there is any advertising space without bidding, this advertising space will not be displayed because there is no content;

III. After the bidding for the previous advertising space ends, the highest bidder obtains the broadcasting right. However, it takes another 100 blocks before the advertisement can be broadcast on the whole network, as shown in the figure. The current advertising space is broadcast No. 0 and will not be displayed.

Bid King: The display time of ordinary advertisements is 28800 blocks (about 24 hours) deleted. If the bid winning price of a winning advertisement exceeds the bidding price of all advertising spaces in history, it will become the king of the new period, always display in the position of the king of the standard advertisement, and obtain the naming right of the COD event until a new king of the standard appears.
